If you are looking to use Kajabi as the platform from which you run your online business—creating and selling courses, membership sites, coaching programs, and other digital products, you may be asking, “Is Kajabi pricing worth it?”
That’s the question we want to help you answer. If you’re not sure what Kajabi is, check out our previous videos to learn more and first determine if it’s even the right fit for your business.
Kajabi offers three different pricing plans that you’ll need to consider:
The Basic Plan
The Growth Plan
The Pro Plan
We’ll break down monthly and annual billing, what is included in each of these plans, and help you decide if the value of Kajabi is worth the price for your business.
Kajabi offers users the choice between monthly and annual billing. You can see the difference between paying month-to-month and the discount you receive when opting to pay it all upfront. Depending on the plan you choose, you can save 20 percent—that’s anywhere from $360 to $960 a year. Those savings are pretty significant!
Kajabi also breaks down what is included in each of the plans.
Products are anything from courses to digital resources, memberships to teaching tools. Basically, a product is anything that someone has to subscribe to or register for—whether you charge for the product or not.
Pipelines are similar to sales funnels. It’s the way you convert potential prospects to paying customers. Kajabi features pre-built landing pages, emails, and automation that you can use to market and grow your business.
Contacts are all your people: anyone who has subscribed, unsubscribed or purchased something from you. It also can include potential customers, as long as you have their contact information.
Members fall under the “Contact” category. A member is someone who has purchased or been granted an offer on your site. They have active access to one or more of your products.
Websites are a set of pages under one single domain name. In Kajabi, the Basic plan will require mykajabi.com in your domain name, while the Growth and Pro plans offer the ability to remove Kajabi branding.
Administrators have access to every Kajabi site associated with your account. They can view and manage notifications, settings, and users, and create pages and products—anything to help maintain your site.
Landing pages—or single web pages used to market products, link to email campaigns, collect leads, and more—and marketing emails are not limited to any of the Kajabi plans.
Essentially, you’ll want to make sure that the plan you choose matches what you hope to do through Kajabi, and can handle the number of contacts and members you have or expect.
Now that we’ve explained what each of these things means, let’s look at the specifics.
Basic
This is the least expensive plan that Kajabi offers. Month-to-month you will pay $149, or annually it breaks down to $119 per month.
With this plan you get:
3 Products
3 Pipelines
10,000 Contacts
1,000 Active Members
1 Website
1 Administrator
For online entrepreneurs who are just starting out, this may be the plan you want to start with. But it’s still fairly expensive. How can you make it worth it?
To be quite frank, Kajabi might be a big jump for new(er) businesses, especially if you currently just have the basics: a web domain, web hosting (without premium plugins), free email builders. But one way the price of Kajabi might be worth it is if you’re planning to offer more than that and create things like courses, memberships, or coaching programs. Then we would suggest use Kajabi for everything you need, rather than paying to use multiple online platforms.
What the Basic plan offers is usually enough for a new business, and it may be at least a year before you need to upgrade. Simply put, you’ll have everything you need to build your website, create and sell your products, market your business, and provide an engaging user experience.
Growth
The Growth plan is a considerable jump from the Basic plan.
The first three are fairly self-explanatory. The Affiliate Program gives you the ability to recruit others to sell your products, monitor their performance, and manage commission payments. If you can and will utilize this feature, it may be worth it to upgrade to the Growth Plan.
Pro
Although most expensive plan, you get significantly more with Pro:
100 Products
100 Pipelines
100,000 Contacts
20,000 Active Members
3 Websites
25 Admin Users
For most business owners, the Growth plan may be enough for you depending on what your goals are. However, the Pro plan offers one additional thing that neither of the other plans does, and that is the ability to edit code.
Editing code means you can make and control customized changes to your website, landing, and product page themes. If you are unfamiliar with editing code, Kajabi recommends hiring a professional to help.
Is There a Free Plan?
Kajabi offers a 14-day free trial of any of their plans. You will have access to every feature, but a credit card is required and payments begin as soon as the trial is over unless you cancel, select a lower-priced plan, or choose annual billing.
So, Is Kajabi Pricing Worth It?
The simple answer? It depends.
Kajabi is a one-stop-shop for online businesses and a pretty powerful one at that. That alone might convince a user that it’s worth it. But for businesses just starting out, the price tag might make you pause.
It’s important to remember that paying for Kajabi is an investment into your business. Yes, you may spend quite a bit on fees on the front end (depending on which plan you choose), but as with any business, there is the expectation that you will generate a profit.
Choosing Kajabi will be worth it if you don’t currently have (or are unhappy with) a website or email marketing tools, and you want to create and sell digital products like courses, memberships, and coaching programs.
Kajabi will also bring value to your business if you’re currently using multiple online platforms— ConvertKit for email marketing, WordPress to host websites, ClickFunnels to create sales funnels—and you want to streamline how you manage your business. Kajabi can replace all of those and more: course builders, blogs and podcasts, automation software, plugins. Switch everything to Kajabi so you’re paying only one fee and all aspects of your online business are in one platform.
And when is Kajabi not worth it? It’s not worth it if you can’t afford it.
For new or small businesses, if you’re not generating enough profit you may need to use the “patchwork” method with utilizing free or low-cost plans on other platforms. Then as you grow and begin earning more, you can revisit Kajabi and their various plans in the future and make the switch to that platform.
So, do you think Kajabi pricing is worth it for you?
Kajabi offers a variety of website and course builders, sales funnel creators, marketing tools, and software. Compared to other online course platforms, Kajabi is stronger and has more capabilities. If that’s what you’re looking for and you’re ready to invest in the future of your online business, then Kajabi will be worth it!

When it comes to Kajabi vs Teachable, the internet has varying opinions. These two learning management software each have their own pros and cons. However, we’ve had the opportunity to use both, and we’re here to weigh in on the debate.
Originally, we started out using Teachable. It wasn’t a bad experience, but we found that we continued to run into obstacles. After switching to Kajabi, we quickly found that it was a better fit for our team. However, no two businesses are the same, so we decided to break it down: Kajabi vs. Teachable.
Before getting into specific details, it’s important to mention that each platform brings its own strengths and weaknesses to the table. To answer the question of Kajabi vs. Teachable for yourself, you’ll have to consider what your business specifically needs. Keep those needs in mind as you read, and you’ll be sure to make the right choice.
Kajabi vs Teachable: Limitations
Perhaps the biggest reason that we decided to switch from Teachable to Kajabi was that Kajabi simply offers more. First and foremost, Teachable focuses mainly on online courses. When we began to add coaching and memberships to our offerings, we ran into some issues with Teachable. Teachable has recently added coaching to its platform, but it ends with courses and coaching. Kajabi, on the other hand, allows users to market “products” rather than just online courses. This means that users can offer online courses, but they can also offer coaching and memberships, which was important to us. There’s simply more variety with Kajabi and we really valued that.
Also, Teachable and Kajabi have different limitations on video uploads. A huge issue we ran into with Teachable was the 2GB limit for video uploads. As a result, we had to upload our videos to Vimeo and link them that way. Unfortunately, this resulted in slower upload speeds (a real issue when you’re trying to upload a 30-minute video) and lower quality. Kajabi’s video upload limit, however, is 4GB. While Kajabi still has limits, 4GB is significantly higher than 2GB. Those 2GBs can make a big difference. Therefore, Kajabi was a much better option for us in this sense.
On the whole, Kajabi operates as a one-stop-shop for business owners. Not only are you able to house your online courses on the platform, you can also build a business website, manage contacts, create email marketing campaigns, and more. Obviously, that’s not necessary for all businesses. However, the convenience factor of being able to do everything in one place for your business cannot be overstated.
Overall, when it comes to the limitations and offerings of the two online platforms, we felt that Kajabi won the Kajabi vs. Teachable battle. This might not be as big of a deal to you if you’re only offering online courses. However, if you think there’s a chance you’ll add more to offer in the future, Kajabi is the better option.
Kajabi vs Teachable: User-Friendliness
Teachable was not difficult to navigate. It was pretty simple to create courses and upload content using this online platform. However, once again, Kajabi just seemed to beat Teachable out. Adding content was easier for us on Kajabi than it was on Teachable. When you’re creating a lot of content and uploading it all, the simplest process tends to win out.
In the same regard, Kajabi created a more appealing look on the front end. It had a cleaner, easier-to-navigate experience than Teachable did, so we were pleased with that. Again, Teachable wasn’t difficult for our users to navigate. We just found that Kajabi was more appealing and simpler. Once again, simpler wins.
It is important to note that both Kajabi and Teachable platforms are fully responsive. In other words, both platforms will be operational regardless of the device your customer is using. In this regard, they both have the same benefits to offer.
A huge bonus to Kajabi in this area was that it offers the main hub for members when they log in. The home page that Kajabi offers allows members to easily navigate to where they’re trying to go, and Teachable didn’t offer this. For these reasons, Kajabi wins in the Kajabi vs. Teachable debate when it comes to user-friendliness.
Kajabi vs Teachable: Price
Like we mentioned earlier, Kajabi and Teachable both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Up until now, Kajabi has had the upper hand in most areas. One area where Teachable excels over Kajabi, though, is pricing.
Both Kajabi and Teachable offer three different paid plans to users. In Kajabi, the three plans are titled “Basic,” “Growth,” and “Pro.” In Teachable, the plans are titled “Basic,” “Professional,” and “Business.” While users have the option to be billed monthly, the prices listed on the website are for annual billing. The price breakdown of this ends up being significantly more cost-efficient. The monthly price breakdowns (billed annually) are pretty significant:

Ultimately, even Teachable’s paid plans are more affordable overall than Kajabi’s. The exception to this is the “Pro”/”Business” plans. If you’re planning on doing the top-tier plan on either platform, Kajabi ends up being slightly cheaper monthly. However, most people tend to go for the middle tier plan (“Growth” on Kajabi or “Pro” on Teachable). Both websites mention these are their most popular plans. Because of this, Teachable definitely takes the win when it comes to the price department.
For us, the price wasn’t a dealbreaker. This is because we felt like paying a higher price was worth the experience we received from Kajabi. Obviously, this would have to be on a case-by-case basis. If your business didn’t necessarily need everything that Kajabi offered, it may not be worth it to you. However, before deciding, it would be worth taking into account what you’d be paying for the other services like email marketing if you didn’t do it through Kajabi. We’d suggest looking carefully at what each plan offers and deciding which plan and price make the most sense for your business.
Kajabi vs Teachable: Overall
Once again, every business brings different needs to the table. The only way to effectively decide which online platform is best for your business is to assess those needs and weigh them against what each platform offers. For us, when it came to Kajabi vs. Teachable, Kajabi just made the most sense.
Even though we pay more per month for Kajabi, it gives us more of what we need than Teachable was able to give. Kajabi is also constantly innovating and rolling out new updates or fixing issues within the platform. We ultimately had to weigh out everything that each platform brought to the table. Kajabi offered more, was more user-friendly, and, even though we pay more for it, offered more for the price than Teachable could.
For these reasons, we’re going with Kajabi in the Kajabi vs Teachable debate. When you’re thinking about switching to something new, it’s always helpful to have someone else’s review of it, right? Well, luckily for you, that’s exactly what we’ve done here: put together a Kajabi Review for you.
Kajabi is expansive, and it can certainly be overwhelming at first. However, since our team switched from Kajabi to Teachable this year, we’ve been nothing short of pleased. In light of that, we decided to compile seven things we think you should know about the learning management software.
While we have been very pleased with our transition to Kajabi, we’ve done our best to be objective here. The goal of this Kajabi review is to provide you with seven important things that could play a role in your decision-making process when considering the software.
It’s a platform for online business
The first thing you need to know in this Kajabi review is what Kajabi even is. As we mentioned earlier, Kajabi is a learning management software. Essentially, learning management software or systems are used to deliver training courses. However, as we’ll cover later, Kajabi can be used for more than just course delivery.
On their website, Kajabi says they aim to eliminate technology as a barrier for successful online businesses. Everything about how Kajabi is formatted is created to make things simple for online business owners. By eliminating the complications that technology often brings in, they free online business owners up to focus on making their businesses the best they can be.
So, how would you know if Kajabi is for you, then? If you create courses or digital products, want to offer memberships, podcasts, paid newsletters, or coaching, you’re looking into the right platform. Kajai essentially serves as your hub for these sorts of things in your online business.
It’s an all-in-one platform
The next thing you need to know in this Kajabi review is that the software is designed to be an all-in-one platform for your business. The users of Kajabi intended it to be the place where you can house everything for your business: products, marketing, emails, contacts, and more. The goal is to simplify growing your business.
So, what do we mean by all-in-one? Glad you asked. We’ve already mentioned that learning management software like Kajabi is designed to house your digital products, like online courses and coaching. However, Kajabi is also created to be your website, your email marketing service, and your sales funnel program. So, rather than sourcing your website to somewhere like WordPress and your email to somewhere like Mailchimp, you can theoretically just do it all in Kajabi.
Full disclosure, we don’t currently use Kajabi for all these features. Right now, we just use it to house our digital products. However, it’s a great feature and makes Kajabi really unique. The convenience factor is definitely unmatched.
It’s user-friendly
The next thing to know in this Kajabi review is that it’s really user-friendly.
Now, we obviously have to preface this with the fact that any new system is going to have a learning curve. We’ve used plenty over the years, and each one comes with its own adjustment period.
Once you learn the terminology and figure out how to navigate the platform, though, it really is one of the most user-friendly platforms we’ve ever used. It’s easy to navigate and has clear instructions for its users.
Their customer support is also great. As you’ll see in the detailed breakdown of the plans that we give, later on, each user plan comes with chat support. The two higher-tier plans offer this chat support 24/7, which makes it extra helpful. It’s nice to know that even if you run into an issue that gives you trouble, Kajabi is ready to support and help you along the way.
It’s expensive
Did we promise to be objective with this Kajabi review, right? If Kajabi has a downside, it’s definitely its price. There’s no way around it – the platform is expensive. Compared to other learning management software (like Teachable – one we’ve used in the past), it’s pricy. That being said, it’s important to consider what all you’re getting for the price you pay. To make things easy, we compiled a price breakdown from the Kajabi website, complete with monthly prices and what you get with each plan. Kajabi recommends annual billing, as it comes out cheaper per month than doing the regular monthly billing.
Kajabi offers three different plans for its users. The plans have some benefits in common, like unlimited landing pages and marketing emails. The biggest differences in them are the limitations on products, pipelines, and things like that. You can see the detailed breakdown below:

Again, we know it’s expensive. It’s helpful to remember, though, that they're pricing it for the all-in-one service it’s designed to function as. Kajabi assumes that you're going to use it for your website, your email marketing service, your courses, your coaching program, your membership, your emails, and more. If those are things you’re planning on incorporating in your online business, it’s worth pricing it out to see if Kajabi comes out cheaper in the long run.
It’s always improving
This point of the Kajabi review ties in with the user-friendliness of Kajabi. As we mentioned before, it’s an online platform that’s really user-friendly. However, as with anything, issues will pop up from time to time.
One of the best things that we’ve discovered about Kajabi is that every few months, they have new development cycles that have new releases. Each of these new releases comes with more features with improvements to the platform. That means that if bugs occur, they’ll be fixed in the releases. There’s nothing more frustrating than bugs that keep you from using a platform you’re paying good money to use. It’s reassuring and a huge draw to know that Kajabi is dedicated to innovation and improvement.
It’s got a great look for clients
This point in the Kajabi review was really important for us when it came to switching over to Kajabi. Put simply, the platform just looks great for your clients. That’s such an important part of running an online business – you want it to be appealing and easy to navigate for the clients you’re bringing in. Customer experience is a huge deal, and Kajabi does a great job of helping you deliver on that front.
Kajabi really comes across as professional and well-organized to your clients. The platform does a great job of setting you up well as the user. A large part of this is, as we mentioned earlier, Kajabi being an all-in-one platform. Not only does this help you, as the business owner, stay organized, it helps things come across as more streamlined.
You could, in theory, source your business website from WordPress, your email marketing from Mailchimp, and your digital products from Kajabi. But when you do it all through Kajabi, it’s consistent and comes across positively to your clients. This is a huge plus of using Kajabi.
It’s got great deals
As we mentioned earlier in this Kajabi review, the platform is expensive – no way around it. While we have found that you really do get what you pay for, we also know that price can be a big deterrent for people. It can seem especially daunting if you’re just getting started with your online business. We get it!
A great thing about Kajabi is that it offers great signup deals. These deals allow you to build your website, experiment with what Kajabi offers, and get in at a good deal. Currently, we’ve got a great signup deal going through our affiliate link. We’ve also decided to offer free coaching for you if you use that link since we understand that it can be overwhelming switching to a brand new platform.
Conclusion
All in all, we’ve been really pleased with our experience using Kajabi. Despite the higher monthly prices and learning curve, we feel like it’s well worth the switch. An all-in-one platform for online business is hard to find. When you factor in the fact that it’s constantly improving, user-friendly, and comes across professionally and positively to your clients, it’s a great situation.
